F1 car part maker Epm: Technology Group is poised to make use of robotics in composite engineering to speed up productivity and creativity.
In a partnership with Rolls-Royce and the University of Derby, the Derby company has installed a £500,000 robotic system into its new technical centre built in the heart of the city. Epm said it was the first company within its sector to do so.The Fanuc M-900i robot is engineered for precise high payload and extremely high-speed operations. Capable of manoeuvring items up to 700kg, it is able to precisely cut, drill and spray items far quicker than humanly possible.(...)
